MACH Machine Tools, part of the Vigilance Group, and a leading supplier of high-quality CNC and manual machine tools and best-in-class workshop equipment to UK, Irish, European and US component manufacturers and educational organisations, has recently introduced a new range of DynaPath-controlled (CNC) bed mills into the market.
The new MACH MDM 700-AR and MACH MDM 1000-AR provide customers with exceptional cutting performance, guaranteed life-long precision, built-in flexibility and unrivalled reliability at a cost that, according to Dave Andrew, The Vigilance Group’s Managing Director, “will make your jaw drop and the guys in Accounts smile.”
Both machines feature powerful BT 40 spindles (5,000rpm), roller-type linear guideways and large worktables (up to 1525mm x 350mm with the larger, MDM 1000-AR model).

The machines deliver high positional and repeatable accuracies – 0.006mm and 0.003mm, respectively.
MDM 700-AR/MDM 1000-AR machines are supplied with the advanced and proven DynaPath control integrated with MACH Machine Tools’ industry-leading free, 24/7, Wi-Fi enabled ‘Remote Assist’ facility that provides customers with expert (remote) applications and service support, including free software updates, for the life of the machine.
Says Dave Andrew:
“MACH’s ‘Remote Assist’ is ground breaking and is a real game-changer.
“The 20 minute maximum response time to customers’ queries means that machine down time is kept to an absolute minimum, and this has proved to be a massive draw for customers.”
Both machines are powered by the popular and proven DynaPath control system which, amongst its many strengths, includes the following features:
• Conversational and ISO/G code programming capabilities which makes it easy to program machines on the shop floor.
• 64Gb on-board storage and 10,000 block look-ahead capability that ensure fast processing speeds resulting in improved accuracies and surface finishes.
• Functions such as datum setting using alignment, sub-program calling, the use of macro-programming, the ability to facilitate program simulation using tool path or 3D rendered graphics, a programmable spindle control along with the provision of DXF & Onboard DXF editor, plus a multitude of communication methods, including Wi-Fi connectivity.
As with all MACH machines, the MDM-AR models are supplied, as standard, with a number of technology features that include -: 15.6” touchscreens, Manual Pulse Generators (MPGs), Air Power Draw Bars, Coolant equipment etc.
The MDM 700-AR will be making its debut on MACH Machine Tools’ stand (H275 -1, 2 and 3) at the forthcoming Southern Manufacturing Show in February.
